A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction

Pride Aside is one Father’s attempt to be vocal about his
son’s addiction, and how their family has navigated this
perilous journey together.

“Raw, brutally transparent, real, heart-wrenching,
inspiring, relatable, frustrating, unsettling,

“A gift of unsettled but secure
promise to those who are struggling
along the broken road called life.”

Dr. Rob Futral, Senior Pastor
Broadmoor Baptist Church, Madison MS

Would you tell us your story?
Our story, as told in the book Pride Aside, is painful to say the least. Steve Farrar, who wrote the foreword, indicated it is beneficial for four main reasons:
-It is a warning that the enemy is laying an ambush for your kids and grandkids.
-It is an encouragement if you are exhausted from the battle.
-It is realistic that this battle may not be over quickly.
-It will spur you to pray for your children and grandchildren more consistently.
We would love to hear your story. Would you share it with us? I can tell you from personal experience, it helps to share. Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ”.
Please tell us your story.
You may choose whether to keep it confidential simply as a prayer request to us. Or, if you allow, we may share your story with others through this website and social media channels.
